Amazon is one of the giants when it comes to technology. It has led the industry in innovation and the usage of new technology. And now, Amazon is launching another feature that will solidify its role in the industry as the leader. This time, Amazon is launching a personal shopping service dedicated to men. The service is being introduced at just $4.99 per month, and it will be accessible across the countries that Amazon deals with soon.
Right now, the service can be utilized by Prime members. Basically, it is an extension of Prime Wardrobe, the service that was aimed at women.
The service is straightforward. What happens is that an Amazon stylist looks at the customers’ preferences and fits from the data already available to them and then chooses various items based on their own experience and what they think the customers will like. The items are then packed and shipped to the customers’ address. The receiver can try them on and see how they fit. If they like it, they can keep it. Otherwise, they can return the items. iOS and Android developers will be thrilled by this idea, and we will soon be seeing more apps that offer the same service to men and women around the globe.
Since more and more customers are demanding personalization, this service has come at just the right time. Especially during the pandemic, where close contact is prohibited in public spaces and social distancing has to be maintained. This way, the customers shop to their heart’s content and practice the pandemic SOPs. Also in the pipeline is the concept that customers can look at their digital versions as they try on clothes. Whether we talk about Android or iOS app development, we see that technologies like Augmented Reality and personalized app services are becoming increasingly mainstream. Companies are now rushing to incorporate them in their apps to give users an out-of-this-world experience.
The personal shopping service will initially include brands like Carhartt, Levi’s, Amazon Essentials, Goodthreads, Scotch & Soda, and more. This is around 1 percent of the total brands that Amazon carries.
When customers opt for this service, they must take a quiz that will tell their stylist everything about their preferences, tastes, and sizes. If that is not enough, the customers can also talk to their stylist and make specific requests or inform them of some intimate details about themselves. They can request clothes for some special events like job interviews, weddings, and more. Once they receive the clothes and select what they like, they can give reviews based on their experience. These reviews will help the stylists select more suitable clothes for them in the future.
Currently, the personal shopper experience is only available in the United States.
